Sofia has a degree in physiotherapy from the Escola Superior de Saúde Egas Moniz (2004), completed Clinical Education for Physiotherapists at the Escola Superior de Tecnologias da Saúde de Lisboa (2003) and a postgraduate course in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy at the Escola Superior de Tecnologias (2005). Sofia Tavares has worked as a physiotherapist specialising in Clinical Pilates.
